The Adirondack Park Institute (API) fosters in every generation the understanding, appreciation, and stewardship of the unique natural and cultural resources of the Adirondacks through exploration and celebration of the outdoor experience.  We are passionate about providing opportunities to enrich educational experiences and learning opportunities for children, families, and visitors in the Adirondacks.

We hope you enjoy the new bench in the Long Lake Town Park the API placed there in honor of our friend and former Board Member Abbie Verner and her husband Bill.

Many thanks to the Town of Long Lake for allowing for this honor and for the help in setting it up!

Appreciation also to API Board Members Frank Pine, Ruth Olbert and Jack Delehanty for helping to make this tribute happen!
